The Daily Five
The Daily Five is a series of literacy tasks (read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, word work, work on writing) which students complete throughout the week while the teacher meets with small groups and confers with individuals. It is a structure that helps students develop the daily habits of reading, writing and working with peers that will lead to a lifetime of independent literacy.
