Mrs. Hayes Loves Reading and Writing
Love love love this book. The author used to be a peace Corp volunteer in Africa, and returns 30 years later to the land where his heart is to see the progress. This documentary style non-fiction novel really gives the reader their own personal trip through Africa. If you are interested in how people really live in Africa, this is the book for you.
So I'm totally loving this book. I love books that give you an insight to other cultures and geographic locations. This is a high level (But not too high) book for anyone who is interested in life and travel!
This is the map that I have pulled up on my Kindle Fire and everytime they go someplace different in the book (above) I flip over to the map to see where it is. It is really cool and has really stimulated my interest in the Mediterranean areas.
A great book I read this summer......
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Come along as we discover the magical world of Mary, Collin, and Dickon. Along the way we will be reminded of a universal truth that we already know: Our world can be anything we proclaim it to be! Every word that comes from our mouths creates our world, whether positive or negative. What kinds of words are coming from your mouth? What messages are you telling yourself every day? Build yourself up, be kind to yourself. Only if you love yourself can you love and support others. This book is truly magical.
