Absent Work Requests Richardson's policy has changed. The office is only accepting absent work requests after a student has been absent for two days or more. Thank you.
Stay Healthy and Hydrated Don't forget your healthy snack for our daily 10: 00 snack! Also, freezing 1-2 bottles of water the night before and bringing them to school in a small cooler bag will ensure that students will have a nice cold bottle of water to have with their healthy snack!
REMINDER - Early Release Every Wednesday Parent Notice - Early Release Wednesdays Starting on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 and for all subsequent Wednesdays, students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be released at 2:25 PM.
Safety Patrol Safety patrol members should arrive at 8:10, come to their homerooms, and complete their lunch count and attendance routines BEFORE going out on their patrol shifts!
Homework: What to expect in fifth grade The students will have math homework and some type of Language Arts homework every night, as these subjects are process related and require repeated practice in order to promote skill development. Science and Social Studies homework will be assigned as needed to extend what was completed in class or finish assignments that were begun in class that day.
Progress Book and Assignment Books The fifth graders should be writing all homework assignments in their assignment books during each class. The assignment book is a great way for parents and teachers to communicate by writing notes to each other and for parents to be sure that their students are recording their assignments. Our homework will be posted daily on the "Homework" page of our website also! Checking ProgressBook for your student's grades at least once weekly is a good practice to stay informed of grades and assignments. Please consult the new Progress Book password procedures handout located in the black Cuyahoga Falls folder received at open house to learn the new procedures for accessing your Progress Book account.
